WordTheatre returned to the Latitude Festival with three days of dynamite performances in the Literary Arena featuring: 

Love: American Style on Thursday Evening

  • John Schwab (The Complete Works of William Shakespeare) performing "My Date with the Neanderthal Woman" by David Galef
  • Nicole Ansari (Tom Stoppard's Rock 'n' Roll) performing "True Love" by Don Shea
  • Graham Hamilton (Hamlet at the Folger in Washington, DC) performing "The Bank Robbery" by Steve Schutzman
  • Brian Cox (The Bourne Identity) performing "Absolutely Perfect" by John Edgar Wideman
  • Belinda Stewart-Wilson (The Inbetweeners, Primeval) performing "When Writing Is An Emergency" by Mary Otis
  • Ben Miller (Armstrong and Miller) performing "Here We Aren't So Quickly" by Jonathan Safran Foer

Sex on Friday Evening

  • Brian Cox performing "The Human Table" by Marvin Cohen
  • Graham Hamilton performing "Awake" by Tobias Wolff
  • Belinda Stewart-Wilson performing "Not the Plaster Casters" by Janice Eidus
  • John Schwab performing "The Face" by David St. John
  • David Soul (the original Starsky and Hutch) performing "The Moor" by Russell Banks

All the Rest on Saturday morning

  • An ensemble cast performing "Voices of Love" by Paul Theroux
  • Amber Tamblyn (The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants) performing "St. George and the Dragon" by Sara Lenzen
  • David Morrissey (The Other Boleyn Girl) performing "Crazy Glue" by Etgar Keret

And there were also two incredible presentations in the Poetry Arena:

  • Amber Tamblyn performing from her book of poetry 'Bang, Ditto'
  • David Soul performing the works of Pablo Neruda accompanied by classical guitarist Hugh Burns

WordTheatre stormed the Literary Arena on Thursday night 9-10pm; Friday night 9-10pm and Saturday morning 11am-12pm.

In the Poetry Arena, Amber Tamblyn took the stage with her book 'Bang, Ditto' on Friday 6:40-7pm and David Soul performed Pablo Neruda with guitarist Hugh Burns on Saturday 6:40-7:10pm.
