Audiences joined us for a special one night only production in London on February 17. Accompanied by renowned guitarist Hugh Burns (Gerry Rafferty’s “Baker Street” – City to City), David Soul (Starsky and Hutch) explored Neruda’s life reflected in his work and his poetry as inspired by his extraordinary life experience.

A Q&A with David and renowned biographer Adam Feinstein, author of Pablo Neruda: A Passion for Life followed the interval.

Produced by Cedering Fox and Kirsty Peart.

ADAM FEINSTEIN is the distinguished English-language biographer and translator of the Chilean Nobel Prize-winning poet, Pablo Neruda. His 2004 book, Pablo Neruda: A Passion for Life (re-issued by Bloomsbury in an updated edition in 2013), received worldwide acclaim – Harold Pinter called it ‘a masterpiece’. Feinstein’s translations from Neruda’s Canto General, with colour illustrations by the leading Brazilian artist, Ana Maria Pacheco, were published by Pratt Contemporary, also in 2013. He is the founder and editor of a biannual magazine, Cantalao, dedicated to Neruda’s life and work. His poems and translations have appeared in many publications around the world. He writes for the
Guardian and the Times Literary Supplement and broadcasts regularly for the BBC.
