A Night in Sensuous Scandinavia

On the eve of the longest day of the year, ​a scintillating cast of internationally renowned ​actors including Bellamy Young (Scandal), MyAnna Buring (In the DarkRipper Street), Ian Hart (The Last Kingdom), Michael Nouri (Flashdance), and Jason Butler Harner (OzarkHomeland), bring to life prose and poetry by Siv Cedering, Isak Dinesen and Tomas Transtromer. This evening will feature Lizzie Ball on violin and ​Pedro Segundo on percussion.​

​Heralded as “the short story performance experts” by The Sunday Times​, WordTheatre® Productions perfectly match actors with stories and weave them together with music in such a way as to transport you into the realm of the imagination. World class musicians join in the magic.

 MyAnna Buring was born in Sundsvall, Sweden but grew up in the Middle East. When she turned 16, she moved to Great Britain. She is also the associate director of the MahWaff Theatre Company. Jason Butler Harner was born on October 9, 1970 in Elmira, New York, USA. He is an actor, known for Ozark (2018), Changeling (2008), Ray Donovan (2013) and Non-Stop (2014).









Michael Nouri was born on December 9, 1945 in Washington, District of Columbia, USA as Michael David Nouri. He is an actor, known for The Hidden (1987), Flashdance (1983) and The Terminal (2004). He was previously married to Vicki Light and Lynn Goldsmith.








Born in Asheville, North Carolina, Bellamy is a graduate of Yale University. She also studied at Oxford University in England. In New York, she starred on Broadway as Mary in Cy Coleman‘s “The Life” and also as Meg in the revival of Stephen Sondheim‘s “Merrily We Roll Along”. Other notable theater credits include Margaret in the world premiere of Randy Newman‘s “Faust” and LouAnn in the world premiere of Lanford Wilson‘s “Book of Days”.










Electric violinist and vocalist, Lizzie Ball flies in from the UK with her unique style of classical meets contemporary. Lizzie collaborates with Nigel Kennedy (leader of Orchestra of Life,), Jeff Beck, Brian Wilson, as well as Grammy-nominated classical choir New York Polyphony and the James Pearson Trio. Performance highlights include Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival at Madison Square Garden New York, BBC Proms, Wigmore Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, Greek Theatre LA and numerous international tours. www.lizzieball.com 







Portuguese-born Pedro Segundo is known internationally for his incredible musical energy with all things percussion. Pedro is house drummer of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in England. He has toured in Europe, North America, and the Far East, with renowned musicians such as Dennis Rollins, Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields with Sir Neville Marriner, Murray Perahia, Joshua Bell, and more recently with his own Solo Segundo, Judith Owen and Kansas Smitty’s House Band.
