WordTheatre® takes you on a wild ride through the universe. From creation myths to the Big Bang to alien life forms, a constellation of actors will bring to life the story of the Cosmos in the words of the great poets, astronomers, comics, mythologists, musicians, philosophers, scientists, cosmological physicists, astronauts, and mystics. Accompanied by rousing renditions of classical and contemporary music, we will contemplate our galaxy with such visionaries as David Bowie, Elton John, Monty Python, Copernicus, Galileo, Einstein, Neil deGrasse Tyson, Stephen Hawking, and Diane Ackerman. Maestro Anthony Parnther conducts musical artists Inna Faliks, Starr Parodi, Amy Keys, Red Mandala, Lizzie Ball, Pedro Segundo, Page Hamilton, Wayne Bergeron, and many more. Trumpeter Wayne Bergeron is one of the most sought-after musicians in the world.
Frontman of American hard rock band Helmet, Page Hamilton, played lead guitar for David Bowie on The Hours tour.
Ukranian-born Yamaha Artist Inna Faliks is an internationally renowned classical pianist.
Maestro Anthony Parnther has led orchestras all over the world. He has worked closely with musical artists from Joshua Bell to Rihanna. Maestro Parnther is Guest Cover Conductor and Assistant Conductor to Maestro Thomas Wilkins of the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra.
Amy Keys is an American singer and vocal artist. She has worked on many film soundtracks, including Walt Disney films and Will Ferrell’s next movie “The House.” Keys has toured the world performing with Barbra Streisand, Herbie Hancock, Ringo Starr, Phil Collins, Toto and Johnny Hallyday.
Jazz bassist and creative composer, Ari Giancaterino, graduated with honors from the prestigious music program at the Los Angeles County High School for the Arts and USC’s Thornton School of Music. Ari performs with the Bennie Maupin Ensemble.

Colton Toy attended USC’s Thornton School of Music, studying jazz piano and pop music with Alan Pasqua, Russell Ferrante, and Patrice Rushen. After graduating, Colton co-founded music production company Trap Noir. Colton plays in his own band, Beyond Rare.
Composer Jonathan Sacks has worked as a composer and orchestrator on over 30 feature films over the past 25 years, including Seabiscuit, Cars, and both X-Files films. He created orchestral arrangements for Metallica, Kiss, Steve Martin and The Steep Canyon Rangers. Sacks has written several dozen scores for productions with San Diego Repertory Theatre, Antaeus Theatre, and Shakespeare Festival, LA among others.
Electric violinist and vocalist, Lizzie Ball flies in from the UK with her unique style of classical meets contemporary. Lizzie collaborates with Nigel Kennedy (leader of Orchestra of Life,), Jeff Beck, Brian Wilson, as well as Grammy-nominated classical choir New York Polyphony and the James Pearson Trio. Performance highlights include Eric Clapton’s Crossroads Festival at Madison Square Garden New York, BBC Proms, Wigmore Hall, Berlin Philharmonie, Greek Theatre LA and numerous international tours. www.lizzieball.com

Portuguese-born Pedro Segundo is known internationally for his incredible musical energy with all things percussion. Pedro is house drummer of Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club in England. He has toured in Europe, North America, and the Far East, with renowned musicians such as Dennis Rollins, Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields with Sir Neville Marriner, Murray Perahia, Joshua Bell, and more recently with his own Solo Segundo, Judith Owen and Kansas Smitty’s House Band.
Steinway artist and multi-award winning composer Starr Parodi’s recordings have been featured on iHEART Radio, NPR’s Echoes, numerous films, television shows, iconic movie trailers. Her solo piano album COMMON PLACES, which won Solo Piano Album of the year, was lauded by KCRW’s grammy-nominated host Chris Douridas “This deeply passionate and beautiful recording is one of the best albums of the year”.
Together, composer Terence Jay and musician Tyler Carlisle form Red Mandala. Red Mandala features the relatively new and rare Handpan, a spellbinding and majestic instrument. www.NirvanaHandpan.com.

In the Cosmos: Where We Come From, Where We Are, And Where We Are Going was a benefit for WITS: WordTheatre® in the Schools.
Throughout the year, the WITS Squad regularly visits Title 1 middle and high schools. Celebrity actors bring curriculum-relevant literature to life for underprivileged youth. We also offer themed educational programming to inspire empathy, curiosity, and conversation.
Additionally, for this event we raised funds to provided transportation and tickets for 200 Title 1 high school students.
