We kicked off our tenth year with the Authors & Actors of WordTheatre®: Giving Voice to Great Writing in the US & the UK. Contributors are helping us bring WordTheatre to ten Title 1 schools!

Benefit Committee members April Webster, Deborah Del Prete, Les Werlin & Paula Silver; WordTheatre’s entire Board of Directors and WordTheatre Artistic Director Cedering Fox, invited guests to join the festivities on this very special evening!

  • Marcia Gay Harden (God of Carnage) read “Following the Notes” by Pia Z. Ehrhardt.
  • Philip Baker Hall (Hard Eight) read “Young Man on 6th Avenue” by Mark Halliday.
  • CCH Pounder (Avatar) read “I Fall to Pieces” by Amy Gerstler.
  • Stephen Tobolowsky (Glee) read his original piece, “The Moth and the Window”.
  • Vincent Piazza (Boardwalk Empire) read “The Bank Robbery” by Steve Schutzman.
