WordTheatre has no better friend than Richard Bausch. This summer alone, his work has been featured in three of our events, including Infidelity, an entire evening dedicated to his short stories.
To honor the 4th of July, the Irish Times compiled a list of their favorite American short story writers, a list that included such mid-century luminaries as John Cheever, Raymond Carver, and the late James Salter. Richard Bausch ranked among these titans with the Irish Times citing his novel Peace, an examination of American involvement in WWII, as “one of the most perfect stories written about the second World War.”
Bausch’s masterful work has inspired our actors since 2007. We also offer phenomenal recordings of his stories in our collection on Audible.com.
